Hottest topics on the cocktail circuit

Pure hypocrisy

1.  Some female members of the flock are complaining about the unwanted advances and attention being showered upon them by the supposed guardian of the gates. They further complain about the hypocrisy within the organisation which sees it trying to stifle one of its errant leaders, but sees no action being taken against the promiscuous one.

What's up?

2.  Seems like there's so much fuss and ostentation surrounding the appointment, some have dubbed the event 'The Coronation'!

Dangerous one

3.  Present and former colleagues say they have known and accepted for years that he is inclined to speak with a very forked tongue. They say what constantly floors them is his seeming ability to convince himself of the truthfulness of those utterances. They say they are now convinced he's dangerous!

Very pregnant!

4.  Friends say there's now a rush on to secure the divorce as the beautiful estranged wife is now very pregnant but trying to keep it hush-hush. But the tongues are wagging full speed ahead! Some say it's the 'price' you pay when the divorce is not yet final and you are from a prominent money-making family. Not to mention having a pretty face that the camera loves!

Well done, Jimmy

5.  Many members of civil society are breathing a sigh of relief, after businessman Jimmy Moss-Solomon tendered his resignation over the state of affairs in the country. They say they had started to despair by the absence of moral leadership coming from some in the private sector. They say now that Jimmy has shown the way forward, all is not lost, even if others fail to act as he did!

A must-read!

6.  Those who have had advance copies of volume two of Edward Seaga's autobiographical book say it is a must-read, as it puts the current situation in context, as it sheds much needed light on the main protagonist. They say he can expect no bouquets from friends and supporters as it paints a most unflattering picture of him and his abilities. The readings have created such a firestorm; there's a rush on for copies. Unfortunately, the story is, the book won't be available before late September into October.
